What is a good quality camera??

I'm looking for a high quality camera to to take pictures of my snakes. What do most of the big breeder use?

    What's your price range?

Any of Nikon's or Canon's DSLRs are great. (I like Nikons personally)

get a sony a65 or nex5,6,7. canon and nikons nice, though their user interfaces are tricky for dslr virgins. Go to a store and check them all out. make sure to see how much additional lenses are. i shoot with an a77 sony or a nex-5n on trips that require lighter packing.

Don't get caught up on megapixel (mines bigger than yours) marketing. Get a good deal on one. Find a camera that fits your hands well. I have always had sony, so I am used to it. My friends use nikon normally. It all is relative to whats in your budget. Make sure to see how much additional lenses cost for down the road.
Then play with the camera to see how easy it is to work-
    I don't use technical terms.

If you don't have the budget for a DSLR...the Fujijilm S----HD series (the -'s are whatever number they are up to on the current models) are excellent.
I think I paid just over $200 for mine brand new a year ago and it is awesome...a couple examples:

The last two were taken from about 50 yards away...it has an amazing optical zoom on it!
