Pickled lizard, anyone?
I found this little Fence Lizard in my backyard a few days ago, seemed like she got caught out in the cold and passed away which is unfortunate but what can you do except soak it in rubbing alcohol and stick it in a jar.
I'm not sure if this will really preserve well since it may be too thick for the alcohol to fully permeate into the innards but I don't have anything to use to inject it so only time will tell.
Here's a cruddy belly shot. Not the bluest I've ever seen on these guys but still nice and speckley!

Will do in a couple of weeks or so! I'm not sure how this one will turn out since it's the largest critter I've jarred yet. Mostly I just pickle small snakes or small amphibians then sell them and those always seem to hold up very well.
