Cool little guys! The longnose looks like a variety of rat snake to me -- the face is very similar. I like long-nosed tree snakes a lot, and they're very different.

are those sand snakes common? i saw one when i went out too. only snake i saw that wasnt a rattler. cool snakes, those are some good pics. are you really telling me you didnt find a single rattlesnake?!

LOL... I found rattlesnakes that night, but those pictures are for a different forum. I actually JUST got back from doing some more herping (like 10 minutes ago, lol). I found ALL KINDS of stuff. It was a great night.

Wow, Jen! How do you find all of those? Especially those little thread snakes! So tiny! And I don't think I've ever seen a pic of a Sidewinder on the grass before...is that where you found him? Or did you move him there to take pics? Sure wish I could go herpin' with ya sometime!!

LOL, all the snakes I took home I got pictures of this morning in my backyard. Definately not where I found him, but grass makes for a cool picture. Thanks!
