Okay here are some fun questions for each of you to answer!

My fav python is my Ball Python - but I also like borneo STPs

My fav colubrid right now is the African House Snake

My fav Boa would be a BCI because they don't get totally enormous and are described as "legless puppy dogs"

My favorite overall snake I have yet to discover though I love my BP I want a bit more personality in my next snake

So far the most personality I've seen in a snake was in a false water cobra at the Aquatic Critter in Nashville TN it mocked a cobra (flattened out it's hood) struck a bunch of times and then curled up and then climbed onto the hand of the guy and was really calm - hilarous!)

The only snake that makes me nervous are the huge Retics, or BCC's also Bloods make me nervous because of the ambush predator thing - I still kind of want to get a boneo though.

Fav Hot would HAVE to be Gaboon viper

Fave Colubrid: Hmm... I'd have to say Cape gopher.. They are BEAUTIFUL!

Fave Boa: Hypo BRB or Suriname BCC

Fave overall snake: Ball python

Most personality: Ball python

Non hot scary snake: Pissed off retics! LOL.. And sometimes untame (or WC) adult bloods.

What about favorite hot? I'd say a Tiger rattlesnake (ok, I'm a little bias) or a rhino x gabby viper

These are tough questions because I haven't had enough personal experience with all the different species to know what they're really like. I'm sure my answers will change over the years...but for right now:

Balls and Burms

Cape Gopher (did you expect anything else?? LOL)

BRB or Surinam BCC

What is your favorite overall snake?
This has been asked many times and I still can't answer it!

What snake do you feel has the most personality?
Too little experience to answer this one.

What non-hot snake scares you the most?
A PO'd or hungry retic

Gaboon Viper

Hmm ... I like milk snakes a lot, and cali kings are definitely cool, but I think at the moment anyway a long-nosed tree snake.

What is your favorite Boa?
Kaa I lean toward pretty much any of the dwarf BCIs, really.

What is your favorite overall snake?
Ball python

What snake do you feel has the most personality?
Depends ... most different moods or most intense personality? For moods I have to go with ball pythons, but for most intense I think king cobras.

What non-hot snake scares you the most?
African rock pythons, followed by anacondas then retics. But I don't wander around being terrified of snakes. Those are just the non-hots I'd least like to be in the way of when hungry or ticked off.

Non-Hots scares you most- Anacondas ( only snake known to actually view humans as food and will stalk them)

What is your favorite Python? - Clearly I am biased here but I have to go with BP's. I fell in love with the idea of owning a snake because I spent so much time with my college suitemate's BP, Diablo. Diablo was just the sweetest snake. He was not taken care of properly though I did not know better at the time. Basically, he was just kept in a situation with almost no humidity. Still, he was very sweet &, to hell with scientists, he was loving! And now I have my little angel face Hissy Fits! These snakes are the best!

What is your favorite Colubrid? - I have not done much research on other snakes, mainly because I haven't seriously considered buying any in the near future. But, I must say, since Jonah's post about the African House Snakes, I am leaning that way. It won't be long before I have an empty tank & if the research that Jonah has done so far is right, a male AHS would be able to live in Hissy's current tank for life!

What is your favorite Boa? - I really have some interest in one day owning a BCI so I have to lean that way right now.

What is your favorite overall snake? - Again, I know that I am completely biased in saying this but BP's take the cake for me!

What snake do you feel has the most personality? - It's pretty tough for me to answer this because the only snake I have any personal experience with is the Ball Python.

What non-hot snake scares you the most? - I am actually afraid of any large snakes, venomous or not. I really think that a retic or an anaconda would make me poo my pants though.

*EDIT* Favorite Hot snake? - So many of the hots are just gorgeous creatures but I have to say that king cobras fascinate the hell out of me! They are MASSIVE & poisonous. I have to give honorable mention to any sidewinders because the way they move blows me away!

Favorite Hot snake?
When i was in college i had a professor that kept hots. He had a couple of us over for a project one time and showed us his collection. He had some Eastern Diamondback Rattlers, 1 Forest Cobra, and a pair of Black Mambas. I have liked Black Mambas from that day on. While we were in the room they just seemed to follow our everymove .. kinda creeped me out in the "man i really like this" way.
What is your favorite overall snake?
Even tho i'll never own one .. i'd have to go with the Black Mamba.
What snake do you feel has the most personality?
I really havent dealt with too many different species yet, however i'm going to go with the Red Tail Boa's.
What non-hot snake scares you the most?
African Rock Python. All the agressiveness of a hot with the ability to eat me.
