I want to switch to f/t, but I'm not sure what to get. I was looking on Rodent Pro, and it seems you have to buy a bag of 50, so I want to make sure I get the right sized mice. Before I got Norbert, he was eating either hopper mice or small mice. The mouse I fed him was a fresh kill, the smallest mouse they had at the store. It was about a couple inches long. Norbert is 6 months old, 189 grams, I don't know how long he is. I'm guessing I should get Weanlings? I just don't know if I should get a bag of 50 small mice if my snake's going to grow and need bigger mice soon. Let me know what you think.

This might actually be a good time to switch Norbert over to rats! I am havin the same problem with hissy. I bought a bag of a hundred mice from rodentpro & now i realize that they are too small so i have to do the dredded multiple feed thing. It is going alright for now but i don't think i want to keep that goin for too long!
Life is like a game of poker. You can play each hand to the best of your ability but you are still going to run into a bad beat from time to time. What matters is how you handle it. Do you go on tilt or can you maintain your composure & rebuild your stack?

Sell them on ebay or reptibid.com. Or if you have a local herp club, see if a member wants to buy them.

You could get your snake started on rat pups; I just got my little female on them, and she actually seems to like them more than the mice. She was a spotty feeder on mice, but she really downs these rats. But usually, pet stores won't sell you rats until they're weaned.
I'd start off with rats that are just getting their fuzz, but whose eyes are not opened yet. They're about 2-3 inches long. I don't know about your bp, but my little girl was terrified if something was too big for her to eat, but would feed greedily on smaller mice. (and now, rats.) You could always email the company selling the rat pups, and ask them the specific length of the rats you'll be buying.
