The other day i went into Petco, and one of the small bp's looked terrible!! His skin was white and crusty from needing to shed and having no humidity, (there were about 8 bp's in a 10 gal. tank, 1 water bowl and 1 hide) so me and my friend were looking at bedding for his bp and an older guy that worked there came over and asked us if we needed help, i imidiatly said that i thought one of the bp's was in bad shape, and he went over and checked them out (while he was there i had him let me hold a red tail boa, new to the store here in B.G.) so anyway he went and soaked the bp after i said something and helped him shed, and changed the water etc., and THEN i went in there the next day, and the first thing i saw was that same guy over at the reptile tanks tending to the bp's!! they all looked real good for a change, and even though they only have one hide they seem much happier. I hope me saying something helped some, and if i have to i will say something every week when i go in there! (sometimes i go in just to kill time at work, so it may be a couple of times a week) Anyway thanks for listening, just wanted to share what i thought was a success story!

    Way to go Petco!!

Sounds like he's a good fellow, nice to see petco changing it's ways. I've heard it's part of their plan to stop being such a crappy store because PETA is on their butts.

    My other favorite species...

It would be even better if they'd separate them or provide adequate hides, but monitoring humidity is at least an improvement.
