Alright, last week I wrote up a little thing about a great pet store that I found around the corner from my parent's house. Well, upon further digging it turns out that it is a family owned & operated store. This probably has a lot to do with why it is run so nicely. Here are the vitals on the store as I know that Godfather wanted to know how to contact them.

    Markheim Tropical Fish & Pet
    3311 Sheridan Drive
    Buffalo, NY 14226
    (716)832-2004

    www.markheim.com

If you go to their photo gallery, the pictures are blurry but they give you some example of how well they have the set up for their herps. I notice that in the pic of the burm that it doesn't really come out clearly, but there is a big thing in the back left corner that acts as a hide/climbing area for her. Take note of the various hides on the other snake tanks keeping in mind that at least one of them is a humid hide & also note that there is always at least one & usually two water bowls in each tank. These guys do a really great job. I feel that it is just as important to compliment the good stores as it is to hammer on the ****ty stores like petland!

Thanks, Eddie! This is definitely useful info. However, posts like this in the future should be directed to the Inquiries section under Business because that's the purpose of the section and they won't get lost in the posts as easily there.

I know you weren't here yet when that section was discussed and set up. It's not a big deal. I don't actually have mod power over this section, so Judy or Randy or one of the others who does will have to make the call about moving it. I'd rather see it there where folks who may be in the area might find it more easily so they can go and check out the good store.

Thanks. The pet store caresheet and advertising will be completed this week. I'll contact them exactly when it's done.

Hey Eddie, I love Markheim! I was in there a few weeks ago and I was really impressed on their herp setups. I never personally saw a better reptile shop.
