How long from 1000g to Breedable...
I know there isn't a correct answer to this question, but in your experience.... On average, wow long has it taken your females to get from 1000g to breeding size (assuming that the animal is a typical good eater?)

I can't answer that but I bought my female albino at the Nov 11 white plains show, she weight 196 grams, she was just weighed last week at 1246 grams being fed 10-15% once a week, and refused for 3 weeks. So i would say, maybe 3-6 months depending on what she's getting fed and how often.

So far, all of my animals have been growing about 100 grams a month. My killerbee seems a little thinner than all the others, but she's over 1100 grams. I think it's because I'm just used to the bigger ones . Sigh.. and before anyone else says it.. That's what she said !..

I'm the same as Hooblah. My good eaters grow about 100 g each month.

partly this depends on what you deem as a breedable size

Good point Jerry! I know some people will try at 1500g, but I thinking 2000g is where I'm personally more comfortable. If most people agree with a ration of 100g per month for a good eater, then I guess it's simple math (assuming no fasts in between.) =)

My killerbee will sometimes refuse when in shed . My calico and pastel special will eat anything, any time. They're both hovering either just above or below 1300 grams. They're my garbage disposals in case another snake doesn't want to eat . I love having those around!

We'll let the community here dictate breeding weight For the purposes of this poll! We'll say that breeding weight is 1650g (give or take.) I'm using the results of this poll as a guide.
At what weight/age will you start breeding your females ?

I have a couple of "Garbage Disposals" that are starting to lose that title! I usually don't prepare anything specifcally for them and they usually clean-up something that gets ignored from the others. They've started to become stubborn in their old age and are eating less frequently! Looks like I need to buy some more snakes!

I'm saying 1500g as a minimum here- IMHO.
100- 150g is average for my girls, but I have a 0.1 Pastel that has put on 400g+ in two months feeding every 4 days.
