    heat spiking

I'm having an issue where in the morning my flexwatt has a heat spike. I have a herpstat 2 set at 93 which holds at 90 degrees in my cage and an accurite reading the temps. Once morning hits I check my temps and my thermometer reads 94 degrees. One thing I can think of is that I also have a radiant heat panel and florescent light fixture which help hold 80 degree ambient temp. Could it be possible that once the florescent light turns on in the morning, with the radiant heat panel going as well it would be causing the heat spike?

That is very likely the case. is the RHP also hooked up the the herpstat 2?

Fluorescent lights hit at least 100ºF it is a excellent ambient air temp heater better than almost anything else (golden rods omitted this is very likely. Why use flexwatt and a RHP? They do the same thing exactly and neither effects ambient temps much (both Radiant heat sources). I would not bother using both and pick one.
