This is the most civilized Internet forum I regularly go on. Currently, at all the other herp forums I am on, there is bickering, a lot of it. And there's people who ask a question, don't like your answer, and will later wonder why their way didn't work. I never see that kind of immaturity here! It's the first forum I visit when I go online.

Indeed - and I think the bulk of folks WANT that. Not blind agreement or warm'n'fuzzy stroking (of course that's a good thing though) but civilized discussion and even debate so long as it does not devolve into personal attacks, flame and trolling wars, etc. A lot of people live for that kind of confrontation, get something out of it, turn it into a personal contest and when that happens the ideas and information grinds to an ugly halt. We can disagree with each other, contradict each other, fish around for supporting evidence etc - get two views or opinions on most stuff to boot. No one is here to be "TEH WINNAR!!"

That was a very long-winded way of saying "hell yeah" sorry lol.

    Hooray for the pet store!!

I could not even begin to agree more! My goodness, this place is amazing! I have been to other forums about reptiles & people treat other people like they are stupid. It is ridiculous. We have differing opinions on some things here but we value each other's views & that is important. This is THE best forum that there is for snakes & to tell you the truth, it might be the best forum on the net for any purpose just because of the people here! We just had Rex call us life savers! It just shows you that when people work together to help each other instead of having a pissing contest, it yields far better results.

And Smulkin, for the record, most of those people who seek conflict on the internet are the ones who, in face to face life, are too scared to stand up to anybody & do exactly what they are told all the time whether they think that they should or not. So, they go onto the internet where they know that nobody can really do anything about what they say & treat other people like the inferiors that they see when they look in the mirror each morning. It is pretty sad really.

I love all of you guys in that common interest in snakes & treating people good kind of way. Happy Easter to those who celebrate it!
Life is like a game of poker. You can play each hand to the best of your ability but you are still going to run into a bad beat from time to time. What matters is how you handle it. Do you go on tilt or can you maintain your composure & rebuild your stack?

    Double Ditto on everyones comments.
I don't know what I or for that matter Ozzy would have done without you guys.
I go on a few forums, message boards etc on different topics not just repitiles and this site without a doubt, hands down is the best one.
It's run great and the people are all just really nice upfront folks.

    Thanks!

I agree with everyone - here is a poem for BPs.net:
    as much as I researched,
and as many care sheets as I read,
until I found you guys I was out of my head! (with worry)
