Okay so it's five am and I am up because I have been writing a paper and studying for a test for way too long and my brain is just humming. So after tossing and turning in bed, I have to write this:

As I've said before this is the first online community I have ever been a part of and it has been amazing! I was walking around the other day and it hit me like a ton of bricks.. i guess this is obvious, but we are all different heights, sexes, backgrounds, races etc..... you know? We all come from different backgrounds and we're even different ages... but yet we can all find common ground, get along, and learn from eachother. That is amazing! I mean not only do we live different places around the world but we all have different educational histories and none of that matters! It doesn't matter at all!

I guess it is just very uplifting to me that no matter how different anyone may seem we can all connect on a basic human level. We don't know where eachother comes from or went through or any of that, but it doesn't matter anyway. There is nothing about us in this context upon which we can prematurely judge (save for screen name). I guess what I'm saying is since I started posting on here and everything, I don't know what most of you guys look like or your ages or any of that and it doesn't matter.... What I'm trying to say it you never know who your next friend will be and you never know what package they may come in, so why block anybody out? I've been walking around a bit different lately.. not that i've ever been an overly judgemental person, but I never know who I may meet or converse with and this experience has opened my eyes to the fact that it could be anyone of any age, gender, race, or background because it's all really irrelevant. Not that I didn't know that before, but we all know how difficult it is to keep from judging people, and it's always nice to have a refreshing slap in the face from reality. Anybody can be a friend, so next time you're thinking something bad about someone or making assumptions about someone you don't know... just remember, it could be one of us!

okay sorry to go on like that but just had to get that out... now I can sleep!

Some people go through their entire lives without realizing that. Congratulations on internalizing that at a relatively young age. And thanks for sharing and reminding all of us too!

Life is like a game of poker. You can play each hand to the best of your ability but you are still going to run into a bad beat from time to time. What matters is how you handle it. Do you go on tilt or can you maintain your composure & rebuild your stack?
