I know it's omly been a few weeks but mah lil honey still is not interested in any offered rodents. Being CBB and having only been fed mice would it still be worth a try to scent with bird?

Eau de birdy for lil Kali?
I don't think so....Blood Pythons don't really eat birds in the wild, from what I know. Just give your snake some more time to settle in. Not eating for a while will do it no harm. Is she healthy otherwise? Have you checked for internal parasites?

Hmm - I had read they did and scenting a la bird was a good way to transition them to rodents (if WC) - but didn't know how instinctive or effectual that would be with her having never eaten one. She's healthy other than that frigid shipping episode she suffered - settling in nicely so far - hasn't gone after me in a few days. She hasn't left me any samples yet for checking (unlike all our other younglings who are pretty much Thursday p00pers).

I would wait before scenting, unless you have an ongoing supply of birds to use to scent. She should come around. What did the seller tell you she was eating?

How is your blood set up? Enclosure type & size, humidity level, light, hides, substrate, basking temp, ambient temp, how are you monitoring temps, amount of handling, etc? Also, how old & how big is your blood? And where did she come from, if you don't mind me asking (breeder, not locality).

Well ventilated, not too big for her, 70-80% steady, timed lights (vis) + red heat, paper towel atm (sphagnum on bark layer otherwise), 89-78 gradient, digital thermometer/hygrometer w/ probe, handling still minimized (only had her a few weeks giving her plenty of acclimation room but the striking behavior has about disappeared) 03 yearling, 14" from xtreme reptiles. Think that about covers it.
phew
