Well, while shopping for a Black Pine Snake today in some local reptile shops, I stumbled across a Lampropeltus getulus negritis (Mexican Black Kingsnake). Never did find a Black Pine snake, so I snagged the Mex. King. He/she is gorgeous!!!!!! Jet black, with a couple small white patches under his chin! He musked me a little when I first picked him up, but calmed quickly. He was $54 with tax, and is simply beautiful!
Pics tomorrow, I'm going to leave him alone tonight.
Woohoo!!! 
Now to come up with a name.....

ooo, a mexi black. one of my favs. of all the colubrids. a friend of mine used to have a breeding pair, they were so black that in the light they looked blue.

Ok, no one told me it would be next to impossible to get a good pic of a solid black snake! Here's the best one I ended up with. I'll take him outside for a photo shoot next week, after he's settled in. (I call it a he, but don't know for sure.)
