I usuall listen to Jazz - I dig Jimmy Smith, Dave Brubeck, the cliche Miles Davis, Charlie Hunter, Ben Allison, and Soulive. When it's not straight up jazz I'll listen to a little acid Jazz (The Brand New Heavies)
    or
Classic Rock such as Pink Flloyd, The Stones, The Beatles, Beachboys, Lynrd Skynrd, Allman Bros, Grateful Dead, Joe Cocker, Bob Seger, Hendrix, Velvet Underground, the Who etc.
    or
    classical
Beethoven is my favorite or I dig some DeBussey, Rachmaninoff, and others
    or
Choir music - I dig Eric Whitacres work (very dissonant and a touch abstract)
    or
Jam Band stuff / Indie Rock
I think Jimmy Eat World is very talented, used to be a big Dave Matthews fan, I AM a big Phish fan, also like Galactic, Dereck Trucks Band, and Gov't Mule. some other talented indie guys are David Meade, Jeff Buckley, Jason Mraz (coffee shop stuff is better than main stream), Phantom Planet, The Thrills, The Darkness (getting big now), ---
Man, I'm a music junkie, I'm forgetting lots but that's something!
