I'm sure everyone has seen/thought of this, but just in case.........
Depending on what you spray your walls down with to clean your tanks (weak bleach, etc), take the time to rinse VERY well. I have seen my bp drink the "dew" off the walls on many occasion. (they get pretty moist when I up the humidity for shed time). Watching him today got me thinking about how many times he's done it when I haven't seen. Luckily I'm pretty anal about my husbandry and clean the whole tank in the tub, rinsing like a madman when cleaning products are required.
It never really occured to me about ingestion, though. I was always mainly concerned with harsh fumes. Nothing changes in personal husbandry practice, but figured I'd post a thought and do my best to help avoid those painful "mystery deaths" when someone's bp up and croaks and they rack the old noodle trying to figure out what happened.

    Excellent post, steelsack....thank you!

And just for the record...I LOVE your avatar! I'd never really noticed how funny it was until my 8-year old son was looking over my shoulder and cracked up, "Look, he's slapping him!" I looked at the picture again and saw the "shove" into the water....and the two of us sat there for like two minutes just watching and laughing! (He's a fun kid to laugh with!)

LOL! Cracks me and my son up (eight), too!

As for where I live, if you look at a map of the upper peninsula of Michigan, you can see me waving from about 35 miles from the tip.
Surrounded by water, I can't even see Canada. It's like the ocean with no sharks.

y'know....anal retentive, precariously picky, tragically tenacious....
Just amusing ways of saying I take my husbandry seriously
