Two quick photos of my new BCI hatchling

Lloyd was sitting in his water dish, so I snapped a few shots of him but didn't want to bother him too much (first week in his new apartment).

He's beautiful! Don't know if he is your first boa or not, but they just don't seem to stress like the balls. I bet he settles in just fine.

Yup, first boa. I gave it a shot feeding him today (had him since Saturday) but no dice. Not too worried though, I'll try again this weekend.

What are you feeding him? Mine never missed a beat, they are typically eating machines. Are you feeding in his enclosure or out? Whay are you offering? Mine loves to eat, sometimes hes just a derp about it, and HAS to eat from the middle and fold them in half. Boy doesn't that make for interesting....

Just a F/T rat pinky to start. I dangled it in front of him for a little while and he just sniffed/licked for a bit and then lost interest.

I wouldn't be worried either: yes, usually boas are eating machines but some are just slow starters like any other snake can be. My little T+ argie took a little bit to settle in before he really took to eating enthusiastically: he too refused his first meal with me (gave him 7 days before I offered).

Nice boa! For future reference, boas are live bearers.

So cute! I got my first boa right before you did, I hope you're enjoying yours as much as I am enjoying mine!
My girl is an eating machine. I gave her a rat pinky the first time feeding her, ate that right up. Then I had an extra rat pinky from one of my balls refusing, so I offered it to little boa and she struck instantly. She'll be great to have around when those picky balls decide not to eat.
