Well I mean, I use it and I love it. I hear of people having issues with it, but not I. It has put me exactly where I ask every time I punch in an address.

I use apple maps and google I can say that in my area apple is far more accurate when I start a trip apple actually understands my house where google thinks I live a click down the street. It is interesting to see so many americans bashing the iphone when apple stock has such an impact on the american economy. I personally as often as I can buy local made, Canadian made, American made then Europe and Asia. If it costs a bit more so be it. I would much rather put money into a economy that does me some good than ship my money to Korea.

Apple failed the first time it was ever released. The fact that they try to lock everything to iTunes so you have to spend more money is complete BS. It has a nice look and feel but that's as far as it goes.

iPhone 5 fails again...
Here's my take on the whole Apple vs Android thing. I'm not especially tech savvy, and don't want to be. I use my phone to check emails, make calls, send texts, and look up simple things on the Internet. I've had 2 generations of android phones, my significant other has had 2 generations of iPhones. As far as I can tell, I wouldn't use either phone to its full potential, and both phones can do what I want. When I am due for an upgrade this winter, I will probably switch to an iPhone (my Sprint guy tells me the 5S will be out by then, so it will be that or the 5). Why? Because my SO and I own a business together and use all apple stuff for that. My phone and my ancient laptop are the only non apple things we have, and when the laptop dies I'm getting a MacBook. Some of the sharing stuff between the apple devices is pretty cool...I guess I am a huge dork but I love the shared grocery list thingy (right now I use it on my iPad).
As far as the USB tethering/mobile hotspot issue, I'm getting ready to turn on the mobile hotspot capability on the phone I have now because I'm traveling quite a bit. The Sprint guy has informed me that I can turn it on for the months where I will need it, and off when I don't, and I will still be able to use it if I get an iPhone. I don't really mind paying for it even though I have unlimited data. The way I interpret the contract is, I pay for unlimited data FOR MY PHONE, not for any device under the sun. If I would like data to use for my laptop, iPad, or another phone, then I can pay for that data, either by paying to use the hotspot on my phone or getting a contract with one of those portable hotspot things. IMO, the hotspot on the phone is better for me, because there isn't a contract, and I'm carrying the phone around already.
So there you have it, the opinion of a non tech savvy person.
