Well...I've got a 20g-long set up, with paper towels as a substrate, a basking rock that he can go under if he wants as well, a hide for the cool side, a cool rock-bowl for feeding him, and a branch for climbing. A dual min/max thermometer is set up. I've got juvie pellets and cricket gut-load. I've got lights and fixtures and supplements on order from Big Apple. As soon as they get here, I'll get the last of the tank put together and make sure the temps are good to go...and then we'll go get our beardie! Hopefully by Thursday, we'll have our new little guy/gal at home with us!

    I'm so excited!

Awesome, Judy! Sounds like you're well on your way. What are you planning on using for substrate?

Paper towels for now. I haven't seen the ones I'll be choosing from yet, so I don't really know how old they'll be. When I'm sure he's old enough, I plan on using clean/sifted play sand.

OK, cool. Personally I use the paper towels even though my dragon is big enough to be on sand according to some. I just dislike loose substrates.

Yeah...I enjoy a more natural setting though. And I want him to have something to dig in if he wants to.
