New Pics of TheMike
He's not growing super fast, but he's finally started to really eat so I can feed him every 5-7 days. His color is super bright, with some shading along his back. By his parents, he's not supposed to be a super pastel, so I dunno. But he's something very cool at any rate and perhaps by breeding time, he'll breed a couple girls to help solve the mystery.
And a belly shot

Okay, I give up on the stupid belly shot, I've tried all four links.

this was the mystery snake from one of mike cavanaugh's clutches, correct? what was the original pairing again? looks fairly close to a firefly, but as I recall that wasn't really in the offing from the parents' genetics.

The original pairing had several males presented to a female. I'd have to go look up what was what, because I don't want to misquote. Short was that nothing should have made "this". The female was a slightly funky female, from what I was told, but he sold her off, so he no longer had her around.

Female was a pastel and was paired with cinny, spider and pastel... so super pastel could be a possibility, but it doesn't look like "just" a super pastel either. The brightness of the yellow is incredible. The possible males all looked fairly normal for their morphs, the mom looked exceptionally bright as a hatchling but looks like a regular adult pastel.
I'm thinking I will pair him with a normal to see what he throws. That would help know if this is a super pastel or pastel + something, or ??? I may have a pastel female to breed him with, but I'm very limited in females other than normals.

He is getting big! Can't wait to see what he makes. You really can't appreciate how crazy the color on this snake is without seeing it in person.
