    New BP owner!

Hi, I just got a BP a few days ago and he's awesome, but he seems to act very different from everything I've read about them so far. He's always out sniffing around and he only goes in his hide to sleep at night. When I bought him I was told to wait a week to handle him and feed him, but days after I got him he was still very active in his terrarium and my friend who has an 8 y/o bp says he looks like he's hunting. So against what I read I attempted to feed him and he ate right away, went into his hide for a day (to digest I guess) and then was back out again roaming his home. He seems pretty comfortable and he does sleep in his hide every night. I've only had him a week, but I don't think this is normal behavior. Any suggestions or thoughts?

I haven't weighed him, but he's about 18 inches or so. Right now he's just chillin on his tree. He's looks pretty healthy. I fed him a Pinky, but I think he can eat larger since his head is wider than they pinky was.

    He's only young then??

He should be eating 10-15% of his body weight each meal.

Pinkie mice are way too small, he can easily be on weanling/adult mice.
