    Ouch...I'm hurt...I'm originally from Sri Lanka. I think they are a subspecies of Burmese. Indian and Sri Lankan pythons are very similar to Burmese.

    Sri Lankan Pythons aka Ceylonese Pythons are gorgeous snakes closely related to Burms. They are very rare and do not get as big as Burms.

    yay! thanks guys. I've never seen one in the wild back on the island..just your everyday Cobras and Russels Vipers.

    Raj...I think Will meant that he'd never heard of the snake...not that he'd never heard of Sri Lanka! ....but then again...with Will, ya never know! LOL

    Those are awesome looking snakes. I know a guy on another forum who has kept some. I'm not sure if he currently has any or not. I hear they're difficult to work with.
