Ok, I finally narrowed it down to what species of plated lizard I own. Now before you get on my case, determining species based on pictures from the internet is tough as heck. They're all basically the same. Finally I found out I have a Gerrhosaurus Nigrolineatus. As opposed to the yellow throated I thought I had, which is more common.

I finally made my judgement based on the fact that it's throat is white. And yellow throated have red sides and red tails. Where as mine has red sides with no red tails. Real subtle.

So research has told me that my guy will get 18". He's 9 inches now, and big already, with a regenerated tail. Making it tough to judge his size. I'd bet he'd be 12-13 inches long. So he's got a way to go. Plus he's gonna get fatter.

I'm getting some collared green tonight, along with kiwi and oranges. I hope it goes well. I got a friend who owns a uromastyx, a veggie eating herp, he supplied me with a sweet list.

Man, feeding went sweetly. I dropped in some dusted crix, he waited about 15 seconds before stalking some. But when he got into it he chased down crickets like no tomorrow. He got a mouthful of dirt tho, but it's ok.

Didn't take any of the fruits/veggies yet. I'll leave some out today. I doubt he got any at the pet store, needs to get used to it.
