How do you gut-load crickets? Are the ones you buy live from the pet store typically gut-loaded...or does it vary greatly by store? And how fast do they grow if you're buying tiny ones for a baby beardie? If I wanted to buy enough to last a week...would they get too big before he ate them all?

Stores almost never gutload their crickets. The best way to gut-load is to offer a variety of food such as dry dog food, vegetables, fruit, grains, spirulina flakes. Crickets don't grow very fast so I don't think you'd have a problem keeping them small.....my problem was keeping them alive period, lol.

They sell cricket gutloaded. It has the moisture and gut load they need. It looks like jello cubes... I've used it, and it doesn't smell bad at all. I bet it'd taste good actually.

Anyhoo, they sell loads of gutloaders. Just feed it to them for 2 days prior to feeding, dust em, and they're packed with nutrition.

Petsmart gutloads (company policy). And the other two pet stores I worked at did. Just ask what they feed, and that should explain it.
They do sell an "orange cube" product, but I cannot remember the company. Good product.
