Smoke (yeah, i named the new bci smoke... my gf talked me into it)... ate himself a medium sized rat today with no problem at all. He even wanted more afterwards. He snooped around his enclosure for 20 or 30 minutes and then retreated to his water dish, where he is currently soaking, plump as a redwood. The petstore had him feeding on small mice. Are they crazy or am I?

Currently Keeping - 4 ball pythons, a redtail boa, and a cali king. Now look, admit it. You know you want to give me an albino ball python.

    Food upgrade.

It depends on how big the snake is. You should be feeding your boa a prey item slightly larger than the biggest part of its body.

Well....how often do pet stores really know how to take care of their reptiles? It wouldn't surprise me in the least to hear that they went for an animal they thought would fit in his little mouth!
