My old substance addiction...

Well I am a teenager and I have done some bad things in my life already. One of the worst was when I decided to try out drugs. Once turned out to not be enough, and sooner or later I was addicted. I continued to do various drugs for about 6 months until I finally got caught by my father. I was then sent to a counsellor and after talking to him I started the long journey to kick the addiction. About three months later I was having no withdrawals or anything. I then started thinking about breeding ball pythons, which I knew nothing about since I only had a colombian BCC, and a california kingsnake. About after getting set up for that I had no more thought about drugs, and now one year later I am still doing great and am completely substance. One year and counting . I thank my friends and family for helping me throught the struggle and helping me before it got to late. For anyone thinking about trying substances... DONT DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Take it from me, or any other person who has had drug problems in there life. Its not worth messing up your life over.

i know how you feel. it takes a strong minded person to overcome something like that. alot of people experiment with substances at least once in their life even if you try to talk them out of it they will eventualy try something just to know how it is.

That's awesome that your clean now! I went down the same path and it got me in jail and a mental hospital no joke. Thank God I was able to kick it after that. I've been good now for about 8 years and have an awesome son and a great job. Drugs are just a waste of life, they take you to some horrible places. Keep up the good work!

Congratulations on getting and staying clean. Keep it up

I also went down some slippery slopes with drugs and alcohol. Clean now a few years. In fact my first ball python was a reward for being sober for 100 days.
It isn't worth it to use that crap, and you just end up with more problems.
