I think they are refering to the blackish blotches on the left side of the photo? Doesn't look too unusual to me though.

yeah, the blackish blotches that are not usual that fire ball have.....

It just looks like a fire w/ granite type speckles. Not unusual, sorry.

Those black spots are pretty common in most fires, although the fires I just hatched have very little of it but I believe I have reduced pattern going on too.
This is a fire male I used to have...he has those spots heavily, they turn a lighter brownish color as the fire ages.
