    She Proved Out!

My Spider possible het lavender albino is now officially a 100% Het! She was only bred to a het male, so I was already thinking about what I would do if she didn't prove out with the 4 eggs that made it to term, but I got lucky with this one. She has two other sisters that I produced in 2009, so fingers crossed for the others. I wasn't expecting to see the lavender color until later, but am pleasantly surprised. Can't wait until she sheds!

    Thanks! I'm super psyched!
I started with a pair of hets in 2008, but only had success with the male het. He produced a clutch with my spider female in 2009 and I kept 3 spider poss het lav albino females who grew quickly. It's been four years, but I really didn't think I be lucky enough to be looking at a lavender albino spider already. (Meanwhile, the female het lavender albino that I got with him way back in 2008 is still not big enough to breed!)
