Hey guys I'm new. Here's some pictures of me and my ball Monty. I got him a couple weeks ago.

Here he is in his tank.

I've enjoyed looking at all your pictures! I'm jealous to see the ones of your snakes eating though. Monty hasn't eaten for me yet. But I did see him eat at the pet shop before I brought him home.

Welcome to the forum to you and Monty! I'm glad you made sure to see him eat before bringing him home. Is this your first ball python?

Yeah, I figured there would be lots of Montys! This is my first ball python, and my first snake for that matter. I'm going to make another feeding attempt either tonight or tomorrow night. I think he was stressed last time because I was handling him too much. Then I found out you're not supposed to handle him at first. So I haven't handled him at all this week, I've just enjoyed watching him. We'll see how it goes.

Welcome to the forum Gen! You've definitely found the best place on the web to learn about your new critter! (And a beautiful critter he is!)

gen, congrats on becoming a ball owner. They're great snakes, though they can be a challenge to feed. How do you have his enclosure set up? Have you gotten all your temps, humidity, hides, etc., right yet? If not, he may not want to eat for that reason as well and you might be better off adjusting those for the next day or two before trying to feed him again.
