Here's a list of my TIVO season passes: ER, Will & Grace, The Daily Show, The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Queer as Folk, The L Word, South Park, and Sex and the City. I also love The West Wing but it's been dragging this season since they got new writers. Chappelle's Show is hilarious.

Movies: Hmmm. We have an extensive DVD collection. Favorites include American Beauty, Magnolia and Zoolander. O Brother Where Art Thou is an excellent movie: you gotta love a comedy based on an epic text hundreds and hundreds of years old. Any of Kenneth Branaugh's Shakespeare adaptations (especially Much Ado About Nothing, which is where the names of two of our BPs came from) and Monty Python movies are also favorites.

Diverse? Eclectic? Yes. And can you tell I have an English Lit. degree?

Glad to see some other O Brother fans. I thought it was a great adaptation of Odysseus' journey and the music was great as well. Monty Python is good for everything from slapstick to social commentary. And yay for Carl liking some of Uncle Ed's movies! By the way, Chattahoochee is a really good film that is based on the true story of the case that caused the reform of the mental hospital system. Gary Oldman stars in it, along with Dennis Hopper and Frances McDormand (Marge in Fargo).

    OK my 2 cents:

TV - sadly I catch whatever gets TiVo'd and that's about it (Planetside consumes the evening hours more often than not). But I count myself luckt to catch South Park, Chappelle's Show, Daily Show . . . hmm come to think of it if it weren't for the kids I don't think the TV in the besement would ever be switched from ComedyCentral or the Acid Jazz channels lol.

MOVIES: Blade Runner is an old fave of mine, Monty Python of course, Equilibrium was definitely a very cool dystopic flick even if it did have a meager budget, but I am a Chambara freak so . .

    Zatoichi series
    Lone Wolf and Cub series

    Anything Kurosawa
