    I'm torn.

When my snake breaths the under side of his neck becomes distended. When he breaths out the neck goes back to normal and there is a poping noise like he has a stuffy nose. The humidity is around 50%. Also his scales on his sides and underside seem to be almost like they are chapped. He feels dry to the touch.
Can anybody help me with my problem?
    Thanks

P.S. Does anybody know of a good vet that specilizes in snakes in the Riverside California area?

I would start by getting the humidity up right away, and keeping it up. Get it up to at least 65%. Even try 70% (thats what I keep it around).

if he's popping he might have an RI... i'd up the temperature and keep 40-50% humidity... but up teh temp a lil to like high 80's low 90's to help fry him out. Check the care sheet i think it mentions how to help treat a RI. The only way to know for sure is to go to the vet. And they can give ur snake a shot to help clear it up.

my bp was doing something like that last week....but then the next day its eyes clouded over and it started its shed cycle...its not doing it any more so I'm guess it might be some skin on its face getting ready to go...
