Who on the site owns, or has owned a corn?

Anyone own a corn?
I had one. My five year old daughter named him Cornholio! I ended up trading him for a juvie Ball Python (Ros).
I enjoyed him. His feeding response was great, and he was pretty active. I just decided to concentrate on the BP's more. Besides, my wife hated the fact that he musked all over the kids' bed! LOL!

I had a snow corn that died in August. It was fine, very active, and nothing was wrong. Then during one feeding he threw the pinkie up a few days later. I figured it might have been too big but thought nothing of it. A couple days later I was handling him and he was extremely limp, didn't even move around. So I knew something was up and I put him back. He died the next day.
Think the pinkie was kept on cedar, or some kinda spray used on it?

I've worked with them but don't keep them personally.

I think they are really fun snakes. Always curious and attentive. Plus, they can get pretty big if allowed...

While I was growing up in Florida, I had the opurtunity to own many Corn Snakes (Milk Snake is what we called them then). To many to count. We lived in a part of Florida that had a pretty good breeding ground for Corn Snake's, so all of mine were wild caught. Never could hold on to them to long, was allways trading them for something. Next to the Indigo, I believe they are one of the best looking snake's alive. IMHO

It's also high illegal to capture and keep them. They're pretty rare.

The Indigo was added to the Endangered Species list in 1978. The last Indigo that we had, was released in approx. 1974/75 on the advice of my Dad's friend who was a Conservation Officer. He disscussed the decline in thier numbers with my Dad for quite some time before he decided to let them free. So at that time we were in the good.
