When a Pied eats like a Carpet
A lot of people have had issues with Pieds feeding in the past, and rightfully so with their seemingly bad reputation. However, mine has been watching my carpet pythons for a little bit too long. . .
When I went to feed him earlier today, I offered his food while he was hiding and got no responce as all. . . I left it in the cage, he came out of his hide and just kind of laid on it on the top of his hide. So I picked him up and he got into position to feed . . . so I offered him his meal while in hand, and he took it without any questions and ate it pretty much just like my Carpets eat from their perches, especially my young Jungles!
Comparison to my youngest / smallest Jungle CP
Enjoy!

Now that's one I haven't seen before.

Congrats on him eating. That's one of the ways I've gotten stubborn ball pythons to eat over the years. Dominance thing I guess?
Finicky little bastards...

meh, today was his only issue day :-) He's been pounding mice for a few weeks now, but this was his first feeding again in 10 days so he was a little bit picky! But yeah, this isn't the first time I've had this happen where they want to be fed in hand, one of my stubbern carpets are the same, offer food in cage, nothing, have them in hand, they'll eat right away!

I've had a couple of young 'uns that did that, but I don't think any of my pieds.
It's a nice problem to have, huh?
