Just killing time tonight and thought I'd share these pics of Cassandra. I thought these turned out pretty interesting actually, in a "Thank God I'm not a rodent" kind of way.

The snake and the photos are beautiful! I have no experience with colubrids: What kind of snake is she?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's a Blue Beauty Snake...a member of the ratsnake family from Asia. I'm sure Marcus will correct me if I'm wrong!

    Thanks for the positive feedback.

The species is Elaphe taeniura, common name "Vietnamese Blue Beauty". She's over 8' long and quite
defensive. But she's getting better with more hands on experience.

Despite her current disposition, she's very beautiful.

She's gorgeous, and so are your photos. You should enter the color photo in the reptile of the month contest. The black and white photo is just as good, but the color photo really shows her off.
