    Humidity Gauge Placement

I was wondering where everyone one here places their humidity gauge probe at? Also Would I get an accurite reading of the humidity if I were to put the probe about 1/2 inch from the bottom of the tank?
    Thanks everyone

    Re: Humidity Gauge Placement

Guages and probes that read temps and humidity should be placed where the snake is ... near the bottom of the enclosure.

Be careful on this digital temp/hygrometer units with the wired probes ... In many models, the probes are only measuring temps, not humidity ... The display unit is the one reading the humidity.

Right on! The Accurite which is the most commonly recommended temp/hygro unit measure the humidity from the display unit.

    Re: Humidity Gauge Placement

I have a diff brand, and the probe doesnt measures the humidity.

So your right Adam, most of the probes dont measure the humidity, just the temp.
