What a cutie! Why do they open their mouths like that? Is it just sort of a "Hey, buddy, back off" thing? Makes for a cute pic as long as it's nothing to be concerned about, eh? He looks like a camera hog. :lol: Where did you get him?
Thanks guys! Beardsley is a character, thats for sure.....he is still somewhat young (7 months old) so he is still kinda jumpy, but is calming down alot lately.
Jen, they will gape like that to release excess heat from their bodies and also as a threat display....its perfectly normal behavior and Beardsley will do it alot, lol.
