That is why it is called the Boaddiction. Whether you admit it or not, all of your plans have changed...

Try to imagine all the wonderful things that you're going to find in this hobby years down the road. Something you want now, but is too expensive, might be reasonably priced. Something you weren't sure would ever be CB suddenly becomes established in the industry. If you fill your house with animals now, then how are you supposed to have room to purchase animals later? It's more fun going to a show and being able to buy something, rather than buying 15 animals in a short span of time and then realize later you wish you'd waited to get something you really want.
Limit your enclosures as well. If you don't have space, you can't keep buying more.
Right now I am at my limit. But I dream of a Black-headed Python, a Leachie gecko and a GTP. Not to mention perhaps a Dumerils Boa and at least a few more BPs.
But, if I bought those all right now, I wouldn't get to spend time getting to know each new individual, and they wouldn't get time to know me. And, I love being able to go to a show, meet with my breeder and pick up something new. If I fill up my house too fast or buy a bunch at one show, it might take away some enjoyment/excitement in the future.
That boa is a gorgeous pick-up, though. I'm still cautious with how big even males can get in boas, so I will enjoy from afar. But that female is looooovely.
Just take your time. Save every picture to your computer that interests you. Make a slideshow on your computer so that you get to see and enjoy them in one way. By doing that, you can also have time to identify the ones you really love over the ones you just enjoy. Helps remove some of that impulsive nature that can come with this hobby.

Vasiliki..You gave some awesome advice! You are absolutely correct.
I do have several snakes on my wanted list.. such as lavender albinos and clowns that I'm waiting for them to drop down in price. But look at that sunglow! My fingers are itching to click, click, and send payment. Maybe I should see a therapist. lol

From 1 ball python to 15 ball pythons within 1 1/2 years, now I fell completely in love with my new Albino Colombian Red Tail Boa. I only had him for 2 weeks.
I saw this gorgeous Sunglow on kingsnake.com but I can't get a female because they get way too big...I don't think I can manage the size of an adult female. But look! She looks gorgeous! I am going to wait for a male similar to this one. >_<

That is one smokin hot boa! Wish I had room for it.

Great albino! Go ahead and get that female!!!

Maybe make it a goal for you to produce the sunglow that you have one of the ingredients down the line. I feel it is more rewarding to produce an animal instead of taking short cuts.
