Shed and Feed question

Ozzy is starting to shed, last night his eyes were cloudy and skin getting dusty and dull looking plus he is staying in his hide.
My question is he is due to eat again tomorrow night, should I put him in his feed box and attempt to feed him or wait til he is done shedding??

Geez, I am learning slowly but surely and could never do it without all the help I have gotten from these boards.

Well, from what I have observed with my BP and other postings on this site, there should be no problem with feeding him. If his eyes just turned blue, he has a little ways to go before he shed's.

I can't speak with bp experience, but my gopher loses all interest in food right when he "turns blue." I'm sure it can't hurt to offer food, but don't be surprised if he doesn't want it. It won't hurt him to wait.

Yeah I really hate to bother him. He is staying tucked in his warm side hide and I dont want to disturb him. I guess when he comes out I will give it a try.

well, i got my first bp yesterday so i have no experince whatsoever, but, from what ive heard you should wait intill the shed is complete intill you trie to feed it. my guy is in shed and he hasnt come out of his hide. i figure either he is shedding or he is new to the enviroment is why he stays in there. thnx. you may have possibly helped my figure out this mystery. or at least i have 2 options on why now.

some don't mind eating during shed, some do.

I wait until thier eyes have cleared up regardless of if the shed is done, I dont like feeding while thier eyes are cloudy cause I am afraid they might get hurt. With mine, they shed within an hour of eating, I think cause they feel cramped in thier old skin. So I think wait until your bp's eyes have at least cleared.

If you feed live prey I strongly suggest to wait out the shed process they don't see that well and if your snake miss's the head the prey item can cause serious damage to your snake. the snake won't be hurt by missing a feed date
If you feed frozen thawed than if you want by all means offer it some food
one of my BP's eats while in shed but my other will have nothing to do with food untill its done
it really depends on the snake

Thanks guys. I think I will wait til his eyes clear up.
I was just checking them out and they are more cloudy than last night.
he is looking a little lazy, besides a few days wont hurt him.
