ASF Tank - DIY Lids with Hopper

I am in the process of making my housing for 2 1.4 groups of ASF's and will have 2 grow out tanks. So, 4 tanks total.

    I have 3 10 gallon tanks and 1 20 gallon tank.

I have cut and stained my wood for DIY tops.

I am also making hoppers that attach to the roof.

And something similar to put water bottles in.

Is the 1/2" hardware cloth ok to use for my breeder tank lids and hopper and grow out tank lids and hopper?

I bought $40 bucks of the 1/2" and have cut some for my test lid and hopper already. I figure it would at least be fine for the breeder tanks and all the hoppers then use 1/4" if required for the grow out tank lids.

    Thanks for any advice.

You'll need to use 1/4'' mesh, not 1/2''.
