Thanks guys, it's been a long week
(oh you know theres going to be a rant, wanna here it, here it goes)..lol
Since about saturday my husband and I have been feeling a bit flu like, well by monday (since monday) we have been holding steady temps at about 100 - 102. and I swear I can't breath through my nose. thankfully our son is not ill with this flu, but he did fall on the ice and now hates sidewalks (he's only four) poor little guy got a concusion (this was on Tues.) and that was a hospital visit due to loss of concioseness (sp?) luckily he is ok from the fall but a catscan showed a very bad sinus infection which is what everyone (his pedeatrition) has been calling the common cold. Poor guy he's hanging in there good thou.
My husband (on sat) cut the top of his thumb off and the ER doc had to spend about 30 minutes stitching it up! (It was pretty cool, gross but cool).
So I am goping crazy (as you can probably tell by now..lol) being stuck at home sick, they keep sending me home from work, but I just can't sit still.
The herps are doing great with the exception of one of the latest baby Leopard gecko rescues. She passed away yesturday morning. She just couldn't pull through.
But the newest rainbow boa rescue is doing excellent!!! (thanks in part to a kind donation!)
Ok, I guess I've ranted enough, thank you for tolerating my insanity (again!)

Wow, that's quite a week. I'm sorry to hear all that, but at least you're keeping a good attitude. I'm sorry to hear about the leopard gecko, do you know why she passed?

At least the epicrates is doing well. Mites are a pain to fight off, so keep up the good work!

the l. gecko was one of two juvi's that were rescued recently. (i posteda thread in the leopard gecko section) anyhow, they are just so emaciated, even with vet care it still comes down to natural selection. some of them just weren't hatched to live, (sadly).
But hopefully her "mate" will be ok, we'll see.
Mites are a pain, we get allot of rescues with them (thank goodness for our isolation protocal)!!
    she should be ok thou
    thanks

Sounds like a heck of a week, Rusty. Glad to hear everyone but the gecko should be able to recover from it.

I lost a computer this week, too -- my work pc died yesterday afternoon. I got a new one today but it's going to take me days to get everything set back up on it and there were a few disputes involved in the process of replacing it so that sucked too.

    Trouble comes like puppies...

    ...always in litters.

Hopefully you've seen the last of it for a while. Hopefully a LONG while.
