It's been a great night for me (and my snakes)... Peanut finally took his first pre-killed for me, and Bubba also ate his 2nd meal since I've had him. Hopefully before long I'll actually get to SEE him eat (he ate while I wasn't even here, i left him a pre-killed LARGE rat while I was out for the night...) Maybe the winter fast is over, which means I won't have to waste anymore money on rats!
ahh, just wanted to share my joy... and RELIEF!!

Currently Keeping - 4 ball pythons, a redtail boa, and a cali king. Now look, admit it. You know you want to give me an albino ball python.

Cool! Pre-killed is always so much easier.

Though I learned last night it's not always less messy. I offered Phil a F/T fuzzy rat (I would have preferred a larger rat, but they didn't have any). He struck it so hard that I now have some blood splatter from the rat on the front glass of the terrarium I need to clean off.
We do not quit playing because we grow old; we grow old because we quit playing.

oh hoomi, let me tell you. i had to put the carpet i use for peanut's cage in the washing machine to get the blood out. he squeezed the bejesus out of the already somewhat bleeding rat.

well i think with peanut, he just got sick of seeing a dead rat dance around in front of his face so he ate it.... perhaps a little persistance would be in order for your hets jennifer...
