As of now both of her eyes are completely coverd with infection, Kind of like a person with glocoma but it is actually "mushy". ( best analogy I could think of)
I hope she will be ok.
    Thanks

    Thats gross...ewww

Do you think it'll make it? I haven't dealt with many sick herps so I imagine it's tough getting them back to health. Like that mangled bci. I bet it'll do ok, and since it's so cute it'll be snatched up.

This really is the kinda crap that fuels the fire when lawmakers wanna ban herps... People not caring for their animals, setting them free (burms in FL), and one death from a big python will be heard around the world for years. Even thought tons die from dogs, nobody cares. Then you get animal rights people, like good ol' Kaplan, who wanna take our right away to keep them. They say it's impossible to care for them properly. Then things like this happen and it only helps. Ahhh, rescues are great, but if people weren't idiots there wouldn't have to be any.

Keep up the good work Rusty, you're doing a good thing.

    Thanks Jon,
Sorry for the delayed response, we have been a bit busy here.
Carl the BRB is doing well, eating well and done with the antibiotics. We are still using the opt ointment on her eyes, but they seem to be healing. The vet believes she may still be able to see out of at least one eye (hopefully). But she eats very well and seems to be enjoying life.
    Thanks

I beleive that is who he meant. Many people have varying opinions on M. Kaplan's protocal for herps in captivity. (I personally do not have an opinion on this subject) but yes, I do beleive that is who he meant.

    this thing plows through mice!

That's so cool that you rescue and rehab herps like that, Rusty. I can't believe the jackasses out there that let these animals get like that in the first place. You rule! I hope that her eye infection clears up soon.
