Well we just got home from the vet. He checked her for upper and lower respirtory infections as well as opened her mouth and look at her tongue(?).

Conclusion was what I had come to thanks to everyones advice/input from here of a upper respirtory infection. He gave her a shot of an antibiotic (gly<something> i think it was called), and asked me to bring her back in on wednesday for a booster.

Also he wasn't sure cause he doesn't probe snakes very well, but to only males have spurs? Cause Andariel has two spurs (i hadn't noticed them but the doc pointed them out to me). If so then I guess my she is a he

Every ball python has spurs. That doesn't necissarilly mean you have a male. (Some say the spurs on the male are bigger than on the female, I think that's a load of crap too. One of my females has big spurs, and she's been breeding so I KNOW it's a female, lol).. You have to probe it to know for sure, it kind of sucks.

Did you buy Andariel from a breeder or dealer who sexed it for you before it was sent out (or sold it as a female)?

I'm really glad to hear Andariel is getting taken care of properly. Good work.

What did the doc say about whether you should assist feed or just let Andariel get over the RI and feel better before eating?

He said that her olefactory sensor (sniffer) was inflamed or somethin cause of her infection, and to come back on Weds for a booster shot of the stuff he gave her today. And that she should eat shortly after the second shot if all looks well.

She's not popping when she breathes as much anymore so its definately having a positive effect.

Great, so she feels better and probably no assist-feeding is required. That sounds like a good result to me.

It's good to hear that she will be getting better. You're in my thoughts for sure.
