    Bittersweet clutch hatched

I was really hoping to get a female pin out of this clutch. Unfortunately, four out of the seven eggs did not make it. They all were candling with good veins up until about day 30 or so. Then I had two start to go bad on me. The rest looked ok right up until the last week or so when another looked to start going bad as well. In the end, 3 pipped and after the third emerged from the egg, I decided to cut open the rest. Sure enough, the two that I knew went bad were rotten. The other two were dissapointing, one normal and one pin, both almost fully developed but dead. The pin's cord was wrapped around it. Pretty little thing...wish it would have made it. Anyhow, enough with the bad...I did manage to get two normals and a pin out of the clutch. All boys unfortunately. Here they are:

    Normal #1

    Normal #2

Pin - I really wish he was a she (love the pattern)

This is one of those posts, I don't know whether to be happy or cry.

It's so sad you lost the little ones. But the ones you did get are really nice. I love the blackback on that second normal.

And I just love that little pin boy. I'd be tempted to add him to my collection if I saw him, even though I don't need a boy.

Well congrats on the ones that survived but sorry to hear about the ones you lost! I guess its just part of the hobby. Hopefully you can sell that guy and then put the $$$ towards a nice female pin!

I'm sorry about the ones you lost, but happy you got some healthy snakes from the clutch. You're right, that Pinstripe is a hot one!

The 2nd little normal has a spot on his nose but I really REALLY like the first normal because he has the most perfect swirl in his pattern! They're all great

    It's tail.

It always hurts to lose some of them but you did get some joy from the clutch.

The little pin male is especially nice.

The little pin has a smiley face on his right side in that pic. So adorable. <3 Nice looking clutch you got there! Sorry the pin didn't turn out to be a girl, but he sure is one handsome little fella.
