Kings and peeing...

I've had a few kings in the past, and a few corns along with a couple gopher snakes. Most of them musked or pee'd EVERY time I took them out of their cage. Is this a problem with most colubrids do you think? Because it just doesn't happen with boids...

Oh yeah, and another weird thing. My lavender albino king pee's once in a while when I take her out of her cage (not musk, just pee). It's weird. Her and a WC one from last summer never musk, but every other colubrid I've owned has.

Any thoughts? I' thinking it's just the individual nature of the snake, because I used to hold all the others just as much I hold this one.

It's probably just the snake... I've had tons of kings, only been peed on once and musked 3 or 4 times... and all of those were wc's. small price to pay for such a beautiful snake, imo...

kings tend to musk alot when younger i find although i've never owned one i've held tons and the little ones were alot more inclind to musk than the old ones.
i've never been musked by corns and have held tons of them as well
Garters seem to be the worst for musking as far as I can tell Ive only held WC's and they seem to musk alot
