    went to the pet shop today to stock up on rats, and they had a beautiful baby red tail there for 100 bucks. the owner of the store let me take it out for a while, and i swear it was the coolest snake i've ever handled. readily alert, and quick moving. definitely next on my herp list. my dad was with me, the one person in this house that's keeping me from having a big snake... and he was even amazed by how great of a snake it was... i think i'll begin working on him now, and hopefully have one by summer.
