hey im new to snakes....ive had almost every kind of animal you can name and i was getting interested in the ball python. I got it around 2 weeks ago...its 1 foot long and im keeping it in a 10 gallon tank. In the tank it has one hidding spot and a bowl of water.. i know its winter and they go off feed during this time but my friend bought a pythogn the week after i got mine and it already ate. mine has not eaten...i stopped handling it and im going to offer it food again in a couple days. but i have noticed that every night she comes out and moves around her tank...so what im going to do is try to throw the mice in there when she is active to see if she eats it.....anybody have any suggestions???? im gonna try to take a pic to see if you guys think its skinny cause i think it is...THANX

my new bp
Hi cheapcolon,
Welcome to the group, This is a wonderful site where you can ask (and get answers too) as many questions as you need/
I would not (and some might not agree) offer your snake more then one mouse at a time. I also recommend feeding all snakes pre killed prey. It sounds as if it is definately a baby ball python, in which case should be fed even through the winter.
can you tell me what the temps in his / her cage is? That is always helpfull to know.
talk to you soon
