    Payment plans?

How do you go about this? Several people made me offers on my pastel het clown girl, but most of them want to do a payment plan. I'm going to ask for a non-refundable down payment, but then how many months should I hold her?

Depends on how nice you are and how quickly they can come up with the $$$...

I personally think a month is pretty generous for what you're selling.

I would require at least a 20% down payment, and then give them 3 months (5 if the price is super high) nothing ships until payment is received in full.

    Hm.. I'm pretty nice .

I think a month is a bit much, especially since she grows like a weed!!

You'll no doubt get some ridiculous requests...I once had a person ask me if they could pay $25 a month for a $350 dollar snake.

I have her listed at 1000 shipped. I have to feed her live rats which is just a major inconvenience for me... That's one of the reasons I decided to sell her. Is 1000 considered super high? I think 3 months is a bit much. I could be wrong though.

No, I would consider $10,000+ super high.

For me anything above $1,000 would get 3 months. I migh raise the price slightly to compensate for rodents/time.

I got her for a steal of a price, so I don't mind too much about buying the rodents. It bothers me, but not enough to add more to the total. I just want my money back tbh, but I want to take advantage of the deal I got too.

The store we got Munch from ask for 50% payment as a non refundable deposit, and hold the animal for 4 Weeks Thought that was pretty good

I would do 20-25% down as non refundable deposit. Then probably give them 3 months max to pay it off. For someone like me on a college student budget i cant come up with that kinda money in a month. But paying it off over 3 months is no problem. Id also be willing to pay an extra $20 for the rats for those 3 months.
And as far as a steep price. I would say anything over $10K like aaron said deserves a 6 month plan. I believe most breeders do 20-25% down and 3 months max. Unless youre a repeat customer or you have something else worked out.
