    Export Permits

My anoles need a new UVB light. I'm not really wanting to blow 23$ on the special reptile ones...

Will an 18inch plant light work instead? The ones built for plants should have uvb, I think....Anyone know?

UVB is always a hard ongoing discussion in the herp world.
A friend of mine owns a UV tester. They're expensive so she tests the lights for me.
The best ever light for UVB output is:
    http://www.reptiledirect.com/product.asp?3=39
This is the cheapest place to buy also.
Beleive me I have at least 50 lights here that say right on the box "full spectrum lighting" and it doesn't have what our herps need!
Maybe we can have a UVB discussion in a general herp forum as I think it would benifit everyone who needs special lighting.
But thats just my 2 cents
    Thanks

    My *brand new* lavender albino

I look around and see if I can get anything with a nice uvb output, they will be real close to it so I think a commercial plant one might work. I'll probly end up buying the over priced reptile ones anyway.

I moved the topic as well.
