I seperated Joe and Maggie a few days ago, after both went into shed cycles. Joe finished shedding last night, so I thought I'd see if he would eat. I'm thinking the guy was hungry! He took a fresh killed rat with zero hesitation. I took some video of him eating.

Stuff like this is why I love my Joe so much. Most of my other snakes are pretty skittish when it comes to me being in their faces with the bright light and camera when they are eating. They won't tolerate it. Joe could care less. He is so laid back, I don't think he feels threatened by anything!
The lighting isn't the greatest, but they show the movement of the jaws and the swallowing process pretty well.
Here's a picture of the rat's teeth, for those who have never seen how big they are. These are just the lower teeth. The upper teeth are equally long! They can do some major damage, so make sure to always supervise closely when feeding live!
