    Chickens

First nice day around here in a long time. Thought I would let the girls out for a walk and dust bath. Sorry about quality brute sun and a phone.

Cute! We picked up a couple chicks a couple weeks ago. First chickens ever, and boy do they grow fast. They are a Rhode Island Red and a Black Sexlink. The RIR is considerably more outgoing when I take them on excursions in the back yard
What kinds are yours? Do you have them primarily as pets or for eggs or both?

We love the fresh eggs. I don't think I could eat eggs from store ever again. They are the best pets to. We love to let them roam the yard when we are out in it. We have buff orpingtons, speckled sussex , austrolops and amercaunas. Congrats on your first chickens.

Nice chicks! My friend has like 15 chickens. Theyre cool to watch walk around and forage for bugs in the woods when he lets them out. Im kinda afraid of getting pecked though so i dont go near them lol.

Chickens are awesome! I love watching ours scratch around in the yard. They talk to me too.

Sussex are my favorite. They are pretty and so sweet.

If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.
